Springsteen plays ‘Viva Las Vegas’ in Sin City (WATCH VIDEO)

Performing with The E Street Band at The T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, March 22, Bruce Springsteen sang the rollicking “Viva Las Vegas” for only the seventh time onstage, ever, and for the first time since 2002. You can watch a video of it, below.

Written by Doc Pomus and Mort Shuman, “Viva Las Vegas” was the theme song for Elvis Presley’s 1964 film of that name, and a hit single for Presley. Springsteen recorded it for the 1990 The Last Temptation of Elvis multi-artist charity album.

The T-Mobile Arena show also included the tour premiere of “Roll of the Dice.” “Racing in the Street” was played for only the second time on the 2023-24 tour; and “Hungry Heart,” for just the third.

In an interview on SiriusXM satellite radio earlier this week, Springsteen said there will be a “a much wider song selection going on” in his 2024 shows than there was in 2023. His first show of the year took place March 22, in Phoenix.
