Among the seven new members of the board of trustees and directors of the Count Basie Theatre in Red Bank is a musician who has been on its stage many times. Steven Van Zandt, the theater has announced, will serve a term, as will his wife, actress and producer Maureen Van Zandt; Sarah Bradley of Kainos Capital; marketing and communications professional Robert Chandler; Jeremy Grunin of Grunin Properties; Mario Monello of River Capital Group; and Peter T. Roselle of Meadowbrook Industries.

“Steven and I are proud and honored to join the Count Basie Theatre’s Board of Directors and to support the wonderful and important work they do to keep the performing arts alive,” said Maureen Van Zandt in a press release.

Among the upcoming Basie shows that may be of particular interest to the Van Zandts are Darlene Love’s “Souled Out Christmas” concert on Dec. 18; Bobby Bandiera & Friends’ Hope Concert 8 on Dec. 23; and Southside Johnny & the Asbury Jukes on New Year’s Eve.
