Sting and Peter Gabriel aren’t just touring together this summer, but are presenting a truly collaborative show, it became clear on Tuesday, when their Rock Paper Scissors Tour began at the Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio. The show included one long set, with the two stars sharing the same backing band (featuring, among others, original E Street keyboardist David Sancious), and many duets. They even sang each other’s songs: Sting took the lead on “Shock the Monkey,” and Gabriel did so on “If You Love Somebody Set Them Free.”

The tour comes to the BB&T Pavilion in Camden, June 26 at 8 p.m., as well as the Nikon at Jones Beach Theater in Wantagh, N.Y., June 24; Madison Square Garden in Manhattan, June 27; and the Amphitheater at Coney Island Boardwalk, July 3.
