Tears for Fears schedules Holmdel show for summer of ’22

Tears for Fears will follow their first new studio album in 18 years — The Tipping Point, due out in February — with a tour that will bring them to the PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel, June 24, with Garbage opening.

Tickets go on sale Nov. 19 at 10 a.m., with pre-sales beginning Nov. 16 at 10 a.m. Visit ticketmaster.com.

Other Northeast shows will include the TD Pavilion at The Mann in Philadelphia, June 21; and the Northwell Health at Jones Beach Theater in Wantagh, N.Y., June 25.

In a press release, The Tipping Point is described as “a song cycle reflecting many of the personal and professional tipping points the pair — AND THE WORLD — have faced throughout the last several years.”

The British duo (Roland Orzabal and Curt Smith) was most popular in the ’80s, with hits such as “Shout,” “Everybody Wants to Rule the World,” “Head Over Heels” and “Sowing the Seeds of Love.”
