The Crawfish Fest will return in May and June 2025.

Michael Arnone’s Crawfish Fest — a celebration of Louisiana music and food in New Jersey that has taken place annually in New Jersey since 1989 — did not have a 2023 edition, and won’t happen again this summer. But it will be back on May 30-31 and June 1, 2025, at The Sussex County Fairgrounds in Augusta, with tickets going on sale Oct. 1, and a lineup TBA.

Artists who have performed the Crawfish Fest, over the years, include Aaron Neville, Dr. John, Trombone Shorty, The Funky Meters, Little Feat, Allen Toussaint, Irma Thomas, Marcia Ball, Taj Mahal, Buckwheat Zydeco and Railroad Earth.

Because of the pandemic, there was no Crawfish Fest in 2020 and 2021, but it returned in 2022, with Tab Benoit, The Dirty Dozen Brass Band, Samantha Fish and others.

In addition to the music, the weekend-long festival offers food such as boiled crawfish, jambalaya, po’ boy sandwiches and crawfish étouffée, and overnight camping with late-night music on Friday and Saturday.
