The Rolling Stones have announced a May 23 concert at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, with tickets going on sale Dec. 1 at 10 a.m., and pre-sales beginning Nov. 29 at 10 a.m. Visit ticketmaster.com.
(NOV. 29 UPDATE: A second show has been added, May 26.)
There also will be a show at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, June 11.
The North American leg of Stones Tour ’24: Hackney Diamonds, named after the band’s new album, is currently scheduled to begin at NRG Stadium in Houston, April 28, and end July 17 at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California. Since there are a lot of free days between the MetLife shows and the concerts immediately before and after it — May 15 at Lumen Field in Seattle and May 30 at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts — an added show (or shows) in the Meadowlands seems like a strong possibility.
Though no announcement has been made about supporting musicians, Mick Jagger, 80, Keith Richards, 79, and Ron Wood, 76, will presumably be joined by drummer Steve Jordan, bassist Darryl Jones and some or all of the other musicians who have been playing with them in recent years.
