Paul McCartney’s “One Hand Clapping” film will be shown in theaters, Sept. 26-29.

Paul McCartney & Wings’ “One Hand Clapping” — a companion film to their One Hand Clapping double album that came out in June — will be shown in movie theaters Sept. 26-29, with a new filmed introduction by McCartney.

You can watch a trailer below and, for locations and times for the screenings, visit onehandclapping.film.

The movie, like the album, documents four days of sessions by McCartney and the band at Abbey Road Studios in London, in August 1974. The film was released in 2010 as part of a boxed set reissue of the group’s Band on the Run album, but has now been remastered in 4K.

McCartney is joined in the film by his wife Linda McCartney on keyboards and vocals, Denny Laine on guitar, bass and vocals, and two musicians who were new to the band at the time, guitarist Jimmy McCulloch and drummer Geoff Britton.

Songs on the album include “Band on the Run,” “Live and Let Die,” “Jet,” “Let Me Roll It,” “My Love,” “Nineteen Hundred and Eighty Five” and “Maybe I’m Amazed,” as well as covers of “Blue Moon of Kentucky,” “Baby Face” and “Go Now” (recorded by Laine in 1964 with his band of that time, The Moody Blues).

The movie was directed by David Litchfield. According to onehandclapping.film, it “provides an insight into the inner workings of the band as they work and play together in the studio. Including performances of tracks from Wings masterpiece Band on the Run (released in 1973), intimate footage of the band hanging out in the studio, combined with audio interview snippets, the film also includes previously unreleased in full footage of a solo acoustic performance by Paul called The Backyard Sessions.”

McCartney, now 82, has concerts scheduled for October and November in South America, Central America and Mexico, and for December in Europe.
