Tom Jones’ Sept. 8 concert at BergenPAC in Englewood has been postponed for health reasons, as have all other dates on his upcoming U.S. tour.
(9/28 Update: The show has been rescheduled for May 4)
Jones, 77, is not disclosing what the problem is. According to a message posted on his web site, tomjones.com, today:
“Following medical advice, Sir Tom Jones has announced that he will unfortunately be postponing his US tour, which was due to commence in Bethlehem, PA on Wednesday 6th September.
“Dates are being re-scheduled for May and June 2018 and all tickets will remain valid for the new dates, details of which, will follow as soon as possible.
“Tom sends his sincere apologies to his fans and looks forward to seeing them all again in 2018.
“Any customers wishing to get a refund should contact their point of purchase.”
The BergenPAC concert had been planned as the venue’s Fall Gala, benefiting the theater and its performing arts school.
Jones toured in Europe this summer. His U.S. tour had been scheduled to last a little more than a month and include 21 shows.
Jones performed at the Wellmont Theater in Montclair in September 2016. Here is my review of that show.
