Tony Orlando, who will enter the New Jersey Hall of Fame in October, will headline a free concert at the PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel, Sept. 12 at 1:30 p.m., with comedian John Pizzi opening.

Orlando, who lived in Union City and Hasbrouck Heights as a teenager, was one of the most successful recording artists of the first half of the ’70s, with hits (recorded with the backing vocal duo Dawn) such as “Tie a Yellow Ribbon Round the Ole Oak Tree,” “Say, Has Anybody Seen My Sweet Gypsy Rose,” “Knock Three Times,” “He Don’t Love You (Like I Love You)” and “Candida.” He currently has a 10 p.m. to midnight Saturday night radio show on WABC in New York (770 AM, 107.1 FM and streaming at wabcmusicradio.com).
