Old friends Sting and Peter Gabriel will tour together this summer. According to a post on Sting’s web site, sting.com, their joint Rock Paper Scissors Tour will feature them “performing both separately and together, playing their own songs as well as melding their bands to explore each other’s most celebrated hits.”
The tour will begin June 21 and include stops at the BB&T Pavilion (formerly the Susquehanna Bank Center) in Camden on June 26 as well as Jones Beach in Wantagh, N.Y., June 24, and Madison Square Garden, June 27. Tickets go on sale Jan. 25 at 10 a.m. for Camden, Feb. 1 at 10 a.m. for Jones Beach, and Jan. 25 at 9 a.m. for the Garden; visit ticketmaster.com.
Sting, 64, and Gabriel, 65, both participated in 1986 and 1988 tours benefiting Amnesty International. They are both members of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Sting as a member of The Police and Gabriel both as a member of Genesis and as a solo artist.
