Two River Theater will produce a new adaptation of Agatha Christie’s novel “The Murder on the Links.”
Darko Tresnjak, who won a Tony in 2014 for directing “A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder,” will premiere his adaptation of Agatha Christie’s 1923 mystery novel “The Murder on the Links” at Two River Theater in Red Bank, as part of the venue’s 2025-26 season.
The season will also include premieres of “The Monsters: A Sibling Love Story” (described as “story about reunions, resentment, reconnection, and wrestling with demons”) and the musical “Elephant Shoes” (described as featuring “a soaring, contemporary score and an immersive blend of American Sign Language, spoken English, and groundbreaking stage technology”), plus Henrik Ibsen’s classic “A Doll’s House, and a famiily-friendly “Little Shakespeare” production of “As You Like It.”
In a press release, Two River Theater artistic director said that “Elephant Shoes” represents “by far the largest and most ambitious production in Two River’s 31-year history.”
The press release also says that “A Doll’s House” director Justin Emeka “envisions (it) through a contemporary lens creatively incorporating Black culture into the world of one of the greatest plays ever written.”
