The XPoNential Music Festival — which took place in July for many years, went virtual in 2020 because of the pandemic, and returned in September 2021 — will stay in September this year, taking place Sept. 16-18 at the Waterfront Music Pavilion (formerly the BB&T Music Pavilion) and Wiggins Park in Camden.
Pavilion performers will include The War on Drugs, Patti Smith and Her Band and Geese on Sept. 16; and Nathaniel Rateliff & the Night Sweats, The Revivalists and Snacktime on Sept. 17.
The performers at Wiggins Park will be:
Sept. 16: Taj Mahal, Samantha Fish, Sarah Shook & the Disarmers, Dos Camino, Tamino, The Tisburys, Omar’s Hat.
Sept. 17: Valerie June, The Felice Brothers, Houndmouth, Lo Moon, Bartees Strange, Black Opry Revue, Catebite, Highnoon. (June 21 Update: Lucinda Williams has been added to this lineup.)
Sept. 18: Jenny Lewis, Kathleen Edwards, The Suffers, The Dip, Buffalo Nichols, Cosmic Guilt, Chestnut Grove.

The festival is presented by Philadelphia radio station WXPN (88.5 FM).
The schedule for the Wiggins Park bands is not available yet.
